Feature: London Environmental Network

On Fridays, join us as we learn a bit more about the active group members of the Urban League of London. This week, we want to introduce you to the London Environmental Network, a charity/not for profit organization in London.

The LEN was created to help protect our environment and build a sustainable community by supporting local environmental organizations to improve their internal capacity and ability to deliver on their missions. The London Environmental Network (LEN) officially launched to the public on March 27, 2015, as a program supported by Thames Talbot Land Trust and Reforest London. In 2018, the LEN was officially incorporated as a nonprofit organization and it became a registered charity in 2021.

Since 2018, the LEN has grown its membership to over 40 member organizations and launched a Green Economy London Hub with 55+ businesses committed to sustainability. More recently, the LEN has run programs and events that work to address green infrastructure, residential sustainability, and local climate action opportunities.

They joined the Urban League in 2019 to connect to London's neighbourhoods and promote intersections of living and environment in London. They organize and promote many events throughout the year, from workshops to networking events to conferences. You can visit their events calendar to find a list of upcoming events hosted by LEN and its membership here.

You can find out more about London Cycle Link through their website, or social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)!
