About Jon Bradford

Jon Bradford is a class actions lawyer practicing in London, Ontario. He has been vice-president of the Urban League of London board of directors since June 2022. He is passionate about community engagement and local decision-making. His favourite activity to do in London is to head to Labatt Park for a Majors game on a Friday evening in the summer!

When did you first join the Urban League?

2021

What role do you currently have?

Vice-President

Have you ever held any other roles?

I was a director-at-large from August 2021–June 2022 before I stepped into the VP role.

Why did you join the Urban League as a Board Member?

I have always admired the Urban League's vision and coming out of the pandemic I was looking for ways to get re-involved in the community. I enjoy contributing to the work that the Urban League does to engage community organizations and individual members.

What Urban League advocacy focuses are you most passionate about?

I am passionate about democracy and community decision-making. I was proud of the work that the Urban League did to organize and host a series of All Candidates Meetings for the 2022 municipal elections. It is important to provide opportunities for those who step forward as candidates to present their visions for the city. The meetings also served as a great way for members of the public to meet, hear from candidates, and participate by sharing their experiences living and working in the community.

Are you currently, or have you ever been, associated with any neighbourhood or community groups within London? If so, which ones?
